EAR AESTHETICS

PROMINENT EAR SURGERY

Unlike the other organs on our face, the ears are visible from the front, sides and back. Another feature that makes prominent ear deformity important is that it is present in childhood. Prominent ear surgery (otoplasty) can be performed after the completion of the ear development in children. Therefore, the lower age limit for these surgeries is 6 years old. General anesthesia is often preferred in children for these operations whereas in adults local anesthesia is used.
